slightly OT story. some years back, a friend of my mom passed by the house and saw our dog, who was a mixed breed. feigning interest, her friend asked, "what kind of dog is that?" and my mom dutifully answered, "ay! askal lang 'yan." obviously at a loss and not wanting to seem ignorant, she shot back with another question. "pure?"
